Statement “Tennessee Republicans may be able to expel two Democratic lawmakers, but they will never silence the demand for safety from gun violence for our children and for our communities.  "And Tennessee Republicans may have stripped thousands of constituents of their representation in the State House, but their egregious violation of First Amendment rights will not stand.

Statement “In the United States today, Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) women continue to lose valuable, hard-earned income to the wage gap – income they could use for food, housing, child care, health care, retirement savings and more. On average, AANHPI women working full-time are paid just 92 cents for every dollar paid to white men. That’s wrong, unjustifiable and incredibly harmful, and averages only reveal part of the picture.

Statement “America’s moms are proud to celebrate the lives and contributions of trans people today, on the Transgender Day of Visibility. Moms in this country are transgender, are parents to transgender children, and supporters of the transgender community. We want trans people to be able to contribute fully to our society, and to live without facing discrimination, hate and violence.

Statement “Today’s ruling by District Court Judge Reed O’Connor puts the health of moms, children, and more than 150 million people at grave and unnecessary risk. The relentless legal and political attacks on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) are cruel, outrageous, and deeply harmful.

Statement “The health and wellbeing of North Carolina moms and families is sure to improve now that state legislators passed and Gov. Roy Cooper signed Medicaid expansion into law. Some 600,000 North Carolinians will benefit directly, and many more will reap benefits from this very welcome and long overdue advance. Closing our state’s coverage gap will improve coverage and care for people in rural communities, help close racial health disparities, and improve maternal and infant health and access to mental health and substance abuse services.

News release America’s moms and families have a tremendous amount on the line as Congress works on the FY 2024 budget, with spending for vitally important health care, child care, and food and nutrition assistance programs potentially at risk. To underscore what the country’s moms have at stake, MomsRising Together is running digital ads targeting 13 Republican U.S. House members, urging them not to protect tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations and to refuse to cut spending for programs that matter deeply to working and low-income families.

Statement “Moms and caregivers across Washington applaud the state Supreme Court ruling upholding the capital gains tax, which provides the dedicated funding source for child care and early learning our state urgently needs. Washington’s tax code has long been the most regressive in the nation, putting an unfair burden on the lowest income workers by requiring them to pay the most in state and local taxes. The capital gains tax, along with policies such as the Working Families Tax Credit, are beginning to change that in ways that will boost moms, families, businesses, and our state’s economy.

Statement “U.S. House Republicans demonstrated once again today that they are badly out of touch with the country’s moms and families when they passed the badly misnamed ‘Parents Bill of Rights’ – ugly, divisive legislation designed to undermine public education by bringing censorship, bigotry and strife into our schools. This legislation may be masquerading as a bill of rights but it is actually a blueprint for censorship, bullying, division and book bans. It is all wrong for America’s moms, kids, families, and educators.

Statement “The badly misnamed ‘Parents Bill of Rights’ the House GOP plans to vote on this week is all wrong for America’s moms, kids, families, and educators. It is a recipe for censorship, bullying and book bans, and for division based on race, sexual orientation, and gender identity, masquerading as a bill of rights. If it were to become law, the Parents Bill of Rights would create more division by pitting educators against parents. It would do enormous damage to our kids, schools and communities.
